About Matt

You can see it in his eyes... Matt Stanley just loves to perform!  Versatile and energetic are words that best describe his performance style.  Matt brings to the stage an exuberance that can be felt by his audience.  He effortlessly blends together many different styles... from Broadway to Sinatra... from Tom Jones to jazz.  His powerful, yet dynamic voice, personality and easy-mannered charm, make for a memorable evening. 

Matt is originally from St. Louis.  His roots are deeply planted in the blues, and  before moving to Hollywood, Florida he began his musical career in the early '70's at the Castaways, the Newport and the Eden Rock in Miami Beach.

"Go West, young man," led Matt to Hollywood, California where he acted in several commercials, Equity Shows and performed on numerous jingles.  He also performed in some of Los Angeles' most popular night clubs - The Whisky, The Roxy and the infamous Troubadour. 

From there, it was on to Las Vegas and Reno where Matt's musical journey took him into the world of standards and show-tunes.  In the mid '90's family obligations beckoned him back to Florida and he's been hitting some of the hottest clubs and condos ever since.  "I guess you could say, I've come full-circle," offers Matt.  "I've gone from rock and roll to Tony Bennett... from the Whisky A Go-Go to Century Village!
